Breakfast session: building the future of sustainable renovation together
In light of the renovation of the Infocentre at the Kamp C site, Kamp C is organising a breakfast session for contractors and installers on Thursday, February 13.

Are you a contractor, installer or supplier with the ambition to be at the forefront of sustainable building practices? Good news, because we are looking for a contractor to renovate the current info centre into the Flemish Innovation Centre for Bio-based Building.
To kick off our search, we are organising a breakfast session. During this session, discover how you can contribute to the future of sustainable and circular building thanks to this project, meet the design team, have a chat with the experts present and learn all about the construction team and the selection process. Who knows: you might immediately meet your fellow executor to realise the renovation with.

8 - 8.15 a.m.: Reception with coffee and coffee cakes
Start the day off right with a warm welcome and a tasty breakfast.
8.15 - 8.25: Introduction and welcome speech
Find out about Kamp C's mission and goals for the renovation project.
8.25 - 8.45: Ambitions and project overview (Kamp C)
- Explanation of Kamp C's ambitions for the Flemish Innovation Centre for Bio-based Building.
- A detailed briefing on the renovation project and how contractors can participate.
- Explanation of the selection guide for contractors.
8.45 - 9.10: Concept and design (ROOILIJN Architecture)
Presentation of the initial design and the vision behind the renovation by Luc Roegiers of ROOILIJN Architecture.
9.10 - 9.30: Techniques for sustainable renovation (abt be)
Immerse yourself in technical solutions and innovative approaches to sustainable construction, by Pia Willems of abt be.
9.30 - 9.40 a.m.: Coffee break
We take a short break.
9.40 to 10.10: Working together in a construction team (UHasselt)
Learn how a construction team works and why this form of collaboration is essential for success, by Jonas Voorter of UHasselt.
10.10 to 10.40: Panel discussion
Moderator Rob Cornelissen (Kamp C) talks to Bart Mermans (Rooilijn), Jonas Voorter (UHasselt), Kris Blykers (Blieberg ACE) and Claire Dewispelaere (Sidati).
10.40 - 11.30: Networking opportunity
We will conclude the morning with an informal networking moment. Exchange ideas, make new contacts and discover collaboration opportunities.

ERDF Flanders
This project receives support from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) in the amount of €369,000.07. In addition, Camp C receives funding of 92,250.05 euros from the Fund for Innovation and Entrepreneurship.
The 'Flemish Innovation Centre for Bio-based Building' project will run from 1 November 2023 to 31 October 2026.
