Recovery
A circular building cannot do without the reuse of materials. In 't Centrum, you will therefore find many materials that have known a previous life.
Stairs
Both the interior and exterior staircase were recovered. The external staircase came from Rotor DC. The dismountable inner staircase was previously at AB Inbev and was given a second life here. The staircase was repainted and the steps repaired.
Windows from a home in Westerlo
The partition wall of one of the meeting rooms in 't Centrum was made with the old windows from a house in Westerlo. Circular and local.
Tiles
Several tiles were reused in 't Centrum. These include the loose carpet tiles made from recycled textiles, or the tiles that brighten up the dining area that come from Buurman's studio.
Furniture
Several pieces of furniture in 't Centrum have already had an earlier life. These include the toilet bowls, which come straight from Thomas More high school. The furnishing of the dining room in turn comes from NNOF (Nearly New Offices), and the lockers that can be found in various places in the building were also recovered.
Dining table
A nod to the former English Kamp C. The green tables consist of leftover panels covered with a veneer made from recycled military suits. Coming full circle. PLANQ, the makers of this table always work with recycled materials.
