A ventilation system D was chosen for the ventilation of De Basis office building. This fully mechanical system efficiently ensures equal supply and extraction of air. Moreover, it can recover the heat from the exhaust air, making the system extra energy-efficient.
How does it work?
Ventilation System D is a fully automated system that extracts polluted indoor air and supplies fresh air via electric fans. The main advantage of this system is the ability to recover heat from the exhaust air. With a built-in heat exchanger, the cold outside air is heated with the previously recovered heat, minimising energy losses.
With this technique, it is important to consider the insulation of the building, as this affects the effectiveness of the system. At De Basis, however, the insulation is certainly adequate, allowing the system to function properly.
