Partner in the spotlight: VIBE
VIBE is only too happy to partner with Kamp C to boost The Exploded View Beyond Building and circular construction. VIBE's mission? Designing and building with a positive impact on people and nature. Communications manager Laurens Marysse tells more about it.
"As The Exploded View is quietly becoming an established name within the construction industry, we did not want to miss the opportunity to make an active and meaningful contribution," says Laurens. "The demo house aptly shows what the buildings of the future should look like. The pavilion also offers real added value: visitors can experience the building materials. That has much more effect than the umpteenth sales pitch or promo sheet."
"Sustainable building is no longer a distant concept!" - Laurens Marysse
Positive impact on the planet
Sustainability is embedded in VIBE's DNA. The non-profit organisation encourages the construction industry to increase its positive impact on the planet and society. "The construction industry is very polluting," explains Laurens. "We just want to create vibrant and resilient places for people and nature. But we cannot do that alone. That's why we bring together innovative construction companies from Flanders in our network. These are all pioneers who realise a positive impact with their building solutions and products. A good number of our building partners collaborated on The Exploded View, such as Sidati, Arte Constructo, BC materials, Bio Home, EXIE, IsoHemp..."
Training and inspiration day
"We collaborated with Kamp C for, among other things, the communication about the demo house and the script for the tours," says Laurens. "We complemented those with ideas and feedback. Another aspect are the two events still on the agenda, for which you can register now."
On 28 September, Kamp C will organise the training 'Definitions and types of impact of building materials' in collaboration with VIBE and Pixii. That training is part of the six-part series 'Material selection for building with positive impact'. Throughout the day, you will get a general overview of the different types of materials (circular, biobased, natural, renewable, compostable, demountable and recyclable) and the impact they have on health, the local economy, the environment and nature.
The following week, on 3 October, the inspiration afternoon 'Nature-inclusive design and a healthy indoor climate' will take place, again a collaboration between Kamp C and VIBE. Construction professionals will learn all about sustainable developments and innovations.
Not a far-off show
"We hope The Exploded View will encourage more building professionals and individuals to use bio-based materials in their construction and remodelling projects," Laurens concludes. "The demo show shows that there are already a lot of products ready for the market today. By feeling and experiencing those applications, sustainable building is no longer a distant memory. The Exploded View just makes everything very concrete. Of course, we also hope that our construction partners will see a remarkable increase in their requests for quotations."
